Dr. Austin Temple

Dr. Austin Temple

Dr. Temple graduated from Louisiana State University in 1986. He earned his DDS degree from LSU in 1990. He completed a postdoctoral Advanced Education in General Dentistry at LSU in 1991. He and his wife, Lucie, moved to Winston Salem in 1991 for her medical residency. Dr. Temple then went on to complete a two year General Practice Residency at Bowman Gray School of Medicine (now Wake Forest School of Medicine) in 1993. He was a clinical instructor at Bowman Gray School of Medicine from 1993 to 1995 and assistant professor from 1995 to 1997. Dr. Temple also completed an Externship in Dental Implantology through Midwest Implant Institute in 1995 at which he obtained Fellow status. He entered private practice in Winston-Salem in 1997.

Dr. Temple and his wife have twins, Austin and Davis. He has spent much of his free time coaching Little League baseball and Y basketball and trying to learn the rules of soccer. When not chasing kids he enjoys cycling, skiing and getting lost in the mountains with a fly rod.


Dr. Katelyn Henderson

Dr. Katelyn Henderson

Dr. Henderson grew up in Wake Forest, NC. She received her undergraduate degree from NC State University in 2009 and went on to receive her dental degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 2013. She completed a General Practice Residency program at the VA Medical Center in Portland, Oregon.

She is the Secretary for the Forsyth County Dental Society, Vice President of the 2nd District North Carolina Dental Society, member of the American Dental Association and maintains a Qualified Dentist status with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. She enjoys all areas of dentistry, especially putting anxious patients at ease and helping people, who would otherwise not seek dental care, work through their anxiety to achieve better health.

Dr. Henderson and her husband enjoy hiking, camping, splitting time between Carolina and NC State during football season and playing with their dog Jack and cat Rufus. Dr. Henderson volunteers monthly at the Community Care Center helping those with pain and infection that cannot afford treatment.


Dr. Dillon Atwoood

Dr. Dillon Atwood

Dr. Dillon Atwood is one of two Board Certified Dentist Anesthesiologists in North Carolina and additionally a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He studied at Davidson College and attended the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry before completing his postgraduate training in Anesthesiology at Lutheran Medical Center in New York City. During that time, he practiced pediatric anesthesia in Arizona and special care anesthesia at Helen Hayes Hospital in New York.

Dr. Atwood’s specialized skills helps us to provide all levels of anesthetic care safely and as stress free as possible.
